Confident K9Z was created in 2018 with one clear mission: to help dogs and their owners live confidently, calmly, and in harmony. Training isn’t just about obedience commands, it’s about communication, structure, and building a relationship where both the dog and owner understand each other.
I don’t aim for “perfect.” I aim for real everyday results that hold up in your kitchen, on your street, at the park, or in busy public environments. Training should make life easier, safer, and more enjoyable for both ends of the leash.
Hi, I’m Stacey, owner and trainer at Confident K9Z.
My journey into dog training didn’t start in a classroom. It started with my own dogs. they taught me patience, resilience, and what true connection looks like. Some were easy. Some were not. I’ve loved the easy ones, and I’ve learned the most from the difficult ones. Dallas who unfortunately passed away, was the dog that taught me the most, and the dog that pushed me into learning other methods other than "positive only". Thus giving me a wide range of skill sets.
I have completed many courses ranging from puppy foundations, basic obedience to behaviour modification and sport dogs. I believe education should never end, which is why I continue to invest in seminars, workshops, and ongoing professional development to constantly refine and grow my skills.
Outside of training client dogs, I actively train and compete with my own dogs in:
• IGP (Obedience, Tracking, Protection)
• Dock Diving
• Lure Coursing
(hope to add more to the list)
Competing keeps my handling sharp, ensures I continue developing my own dogs to a high standard, and allows me to work within structured sport environments where precision, relationship, and clarity truly matter. I don’t just teach training, I live it.
I care deeply about the owners I work with. I understand the frustration when a walk turns into a battle, when a guest can’t come to the house, when the world feels too big or too loud for your dog. My job is to help you understand your dog’s mind, build confidence, and guide you both toward a calmer, more enjoyable life together.
At the end of the day, it’s not just about a trained dog. It’s about a dog that trusts you. A home that feels peaceful, and a relationship that feels effortless.
That’s what Confident K9Z stands for.
I don’t just train dogs.
I build confidence, on both ends of the leash.
